About me

I am an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist with experience across NHS and charity sectors. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental space to explore difficult feelings and experiences at a pace that suits you. We can use art, movement, music and the imagination as a tool, but there is no need to be able to draw or make, and if you prefer just to talk or be then that is also very welcome. My work as a psychotherapist is firmly rooted in anti-oppressive practice and intersectionality, and helping people to find their own sense of empowerment, particularly after difficult or traumatic life experiences.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training is integrative, meaning I draw from different traditions to inform my practice, including psychodynamic and humanistic, as well as more recent developments in neuroscience and trauma-theory. Authenticity, communication, collaboration and finding ways to be in the present moment together form the foundation of the work.

As well as a masters in Integrative Psychotherapy using the Arts, I have additional training working with survivors of sexual violence, addiction and learning disabilities. I am also a member of the British Association of Art Therapists.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
