Miriam Unsworth (Reg. MBACP) Dip. Integrative Therapeutic Counselling
When is the last time you felt really listened to? Has this contributed to feelings of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or low self-confidence? Maybe you are experiencing stress or a sense of loneliness at home or at work, or you're moving through a bereavement or loss, have been drawn into addictions or are struggling with anger management.
I also offer couple counselling and family counselling, working with communication problems that are often established earlier in life and effect how we are able to value ourselves and others. Whether you are working through an affair or betrayal, separation, divorce or have simply lost your way as a couple or family, it can be an opportunity to explore how to find a more fulfilling way to move forward. Or sometimes how to move apart.
I'm an integrative counsellor, meaning I can respond to your unique needs, guided by you. Every part of what you bring is welcome without judgement and I offer a warm, compassionate and safe presence where you can, at your own pace, start to find greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and improved relational skills.
I have worked with numerous private clients, in a hospital and a 6th form college. I work with couples, families, individuals and university students with a range of issues. I also facilitate a secondary breast cancer support group.
Bringing a wealth of life and professional experience to an understanding of any challenges you may be facing, I welcome you to come and meet with me for a relaxed, low cost initial session in centrally based Kemptown rooms or in Fiveways.
