About me
Choosing to begin therapy can be one of the most caring steps you can take towards yourself, and a place where bold and meaningful change can begin. I am continually moved by the courage of those I work with, as they allow themselves to be vulnerable, to explore their inner world, and to discover new aspects of themselves. With an awareness of the bravery this requires, I work with care, tenderness, and empathy.
Many people come to therapy feeling burdened, longing to ease their troubles or to better understand them. Here, you are welcome to explore whatever feels tense or troubling at your own pace, whether that is anxiety, low mood or depression, stress and burnout, grief or difficult relationship dynamics. Our conversations can offer a reflective space to find deeper understanding together, and to nurture the resilience and self-trust that allows change to unfold.
I offer reflective, trauma informed Counselling and Creative Therapy sessions where you can express all aspects of yourself. Effective therapy, to me, is not about ‘fixing’ you, but about creating space to meet yourself with honesty and care, and without shame. My role is to create the right conditions for this - openness, emotional safety, and respect. In this way, our sessions can connect you with un-nurtured or unexpressed emotion, resolving their tensions and offering greater self-insight and self-esteem.
My approach is rooted in Person Centred philosophy, and emerges from many years spent in artistic practice. This background informs a therapeutic style that is perceptive and grounded in emotional presence. Before becoming a counsellor, creating art was my way of accessing feelings which had not yet found words. This experience has cultivated a sensitivity to emotional undercurrents and the ability to help bring awareness and shape to what may feel unclear or unspoken.
Clients often share that my gentleness helps them feel at ease, allowing difficult thoughts and feelings to be met with curiosity rather than judgement. Because of this, I work especially well with those who are self-aware but fearful of feeling too deeply, or who are apprehensive about what may emerge from therapy. I offer a warm, accepting space, and the freedom to come exactly as you are.
In my own life, I express my inner world through art, and draw inspiration from nature, especially the shifting landscapes of Cornwall. I also practice Zen meditation and study Eastern philosophy, which helps me cultivate the presence needed to hold a safe, compassionate space for you, even in life’s most difficult moments.
Whether you decide I am the right Counsellor for you or not, I am glad you are here to begin your journey.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I work with a Person Centred approach to help you (re)connect with yourself and live with greater self-trust. Rather than analysing, advising, or teaching you how to think, I invite you to be fully present with yourself, offering the freedom and safety to explore your own way of being.
I also offer Creative Therapy Sessions, in which I invite you to explore your inner world through the act of creative expression—whether that be through drawing, painting, sculpture, or collage. This process opens a pathway for you to access emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences that may not yet have found words. Through creating, you may come to encounter feelings that lie just beneath the surface—perhaps those that have been hidden or unspoken—along with the judgment, doubt, or fear that may have kept them hidden.
Rooted in the principles of Person-Centred Therapy, these Creative Therapy sessions mirror the deeply empathic and accepting atmosphere I aim to provide in our conversations. The environment I create is one in which you are fully accepted, where your experiences are heard and valued, and where you are free from judgment.
By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, you can move towards greater honesty with yourself, and find your own clarity. With your courage and expanding capacity to be with your experience, you can live with more freedom, power and feel new depths of joy.

Before becoming a Counsellor, I spent many years as an artist offering meditative creative workshops. I now blend my insight into the creative process with a deep understanding of the human psyche, the power of therapeutic listening and psychological healing, to support clients express themselves.
In my own life, I express my inner world through art, drawing inspiration from nature, especially the shifting landscapes of Cornwall. I also practice Zen meditation and study Buddhist philosophy, which helps me cultivate the presence and resilience needed to hold a safe, compassionate space for you, even in life’s most difficult moments.
