About me
Hi there, my name is Michelle and I am a psychotherapist working in the Walsall area. I offer: face to face, by telephone, or online. I offer sessions for adolescents, adults, and couples.
I am passionate about helping my clients, using the core conditions and strategies designed to engage, motivate and empower them to access change in their lives. Whether they are struggling with social anxiety, relationship problems, or have just lost their motivation and feel in a place of limbo . They might be feeling like life isn't offering them what they expected from it, that common feeling of being unfulfilled but unable to understand the root of the feeling.
By building a relationship of trust, and providing a safe space, using unconditional positive regard, my clients feel listened to and able to address limiting beliefs, trauma, and anxiety that have been holding them back from being the person that they desire to be.
Please contact me for a no obligation chat, so that I can alay any fears and help you to decide if you would like to go ahead and book a session.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of NCS and hold a bachelor of science honours degree in counselling.
I have extensive experience working with young people and adolescents tailoring practiced therapeutic techniques to suit their needs to aid positive mental health, addressing issues such as bereavement, parental separation, self-harm, depression, LGBTQ, and family expectations around religion. I also have experience working with autism and ADHD.
Whilst working in woman's refuges with victims of domestic abuse, the therapeutic relationship has acted as a vehicle to bring about change, empowering these women to address the constant cycle of abuse, fear, and lack of self-belief that is preventing them from moving forward and creating for themselves a life they have only dreamed they are capable of living.
