About me

My clients are adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck or finding it difficult to manage what is happening in their lives. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement or loss, trauma, relationship or work difficulties, low self-esteem, or navigating a significant life change. You may also simply have a sense that something does not feel quite right or want to understand yourself better.

Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a warm, confidential space where you can talk openly, explore what matters to you and work towards greater understanding and meaningful change at your own pace.

I offer integrative, person-centred counselling tailored to your individual needs. I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic abuse, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, workplace difficulties and stress, low self-esteem and neurodiversity. Together, we can explore your experiences, recognise patterns and find ways to move forward.

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, particularly if you are used to managing things on your own. You do not need to have everything worked out before you begin. I will meet you with warmth, empathy and without judgement. If you feel we might work well together, I would be very happy to hear from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I hold an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing, a BSc in Psychology and Counselling and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am currently completing a Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Professional Practice in Domestic Abuse, which is IDVA aligned.

My counselling experience has included working with adults across a range of settings, including bereavement support, low-cost counselling and online practice. I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, neurodiversity and significant changes in their personal or working lives.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working professionally with people through challenging situations, workplace difficulties, uncertainty and significant periods of change. This experience complements my counselling and psychology training and informs my understanding of the pressures that work and wider life circumstances can place on emotional wellbeing.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision to support safe, ethical and reflective practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
