About me
Hello, my name is Michelle, and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and registered member of the BACP.
It can be hard to take that first step and reach out for support. I am here to offer you a warm and safe space free from judgement. My humanistic approach means the focus is on you and what you want to bring. It is important to me that we build a strong and trusting relationship where your feelings will be valid. We can work together to understand and explore your struggles to move forward towards positive change. From everyday problems to trauma, long-term or short-term counselling to meet your needs.
I work with adults and children aged 14 and over who are experiencing a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, feeling stuck and many more problems.
My integrated counselling approach includes Person-Centred Theory, Gestalt, Relational Therapy and Transactional Analysis. This means that the counselling I offer is tailored to meet your needs, and we can work together to build a trusting relationship.
I am available to work online or in person in Leicester.
I have a private practice in Leicester with driveway parking. My practice is warm, comfortable and calming, where you can find privacy and safety.
If you do not wish to attend in person, then we can work together online.
My first session
You will receive a free 20-minute introductory session via Teams video call or telephone call. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and see if I am the right person to work with you. The relationship between us is important, and I want you to feel comfortable and safe with me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
