About me
When life feels overwhelming, therapy can offer a calm space to pause, breathe, and begin making sense of what you are carrying.
You may be feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck in your thoughts, low in confidence, or unsure why certain situations feel so difficult. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, shutting down, becoming easily overwhelmed, or feeling different from those around you. These responses often make sense in the context of your experiences, even if they feel confusing or hard to explain.
I offer counselling for adults and young people who are looking for a steady, supportive space to explore what is going on without pressure, judgement, or expectation. You do not have to arrive with everything worked out. We can begin wherever you are.
My approach is warm, grounded and collaborative. I do not see therapy as something that is done to you. Instead, we work together to understand what feels difficult, what patterns may be showing up, and what might help you feel more connected to yourself, your choices, and your needs.
I work in a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming way, meaning I place importance on emotional safety, trust, choice and pacing. You will not be pushed to talk about anything before you feel ready. Therapy can be a space to slow things down, understand your responses with compassion, and gently explore new ways of coping.
I support people experiencing:
Anxiety, stress or overwhelm
Low mood, self-doubt or feeling stuck
Overthinking or a busy, fast-moving mind
Emotional intensity, burnout or shutdown
Difficulties with relationships, trust or communication
Feeling misunderstood, disconnected or different
Neurodivergent experiences, whether diagnosed, exploring, or self-identifying
Life transitions, school pressures, work stress or identity questions
I am a BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor with experience supporting both adults and young people. Alongside my counselling work, I have extensive experience working with people who identify as neurodivergent, including those who may experience the world with heightened sensitivity, anxiety, masking, emotional overload, or a strong need for safety and predictability.
This background shapes the way I work. I aim to offer a flexible, respectful and accepting space where your way of experiencing the world is taken seriously.
Sessions are 50 minutes and are available in person or online. I currently offer sessions face to face in Benfleet, Essex, as well as online or by telephone.
Fee: £55 per session
Free consultation: 20 minutes
The free consultation gives us a chance to briefly speak, explore what has brought you to counselling, and see whether working together feels right. There is no pressure to commit.

Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
