About me

I am working in Angel, Old Street  and London Bridge combined with some online options depending on need.  I have space for new clients and look forward to supporting you during these ever changing times.  Please do get in touch to discuss availability and how I work.

We live in a fast paced environment in London where daily pressures continue to grow for many causing stress, ill-health and a variety of worries. You might have anxiety, feel stressed, be unwell, or be worried about the climate emergency or the current state of the world.  Therapy is a space for you to talk about anything that is bothering you or causing pain that you would like to make more sense of. Working with me would be completely confidential and I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to talk openly. Therapy can help you learn how to manage your feelings and make use of your own resources to find solutions and I hope to hear from you.

I work from a integrative perspective taking your history into account whilst also looking inward at your potential. I work as a guide to help you find what motivates you, what holds you back, and how to reconnect to your self. I am qualified in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy, a creative model that uses a wide range of techniques, but also work from a relational and integrative perspective using my recent training in Integrative psychotherapy.

If you are struggling to make sense of your world and would like to talk I would be glad to hear from you to discuss how we might work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling which is accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and the UK Council for Psychotherapy. The Diploma was awarded by Middlesex University.  I have more recently completed completed an Advanced Clinical Practise course in Integrative Psychotherapy at The Minster Centre.  I am registered with the BACP, membership number 378913. I also have a BA Hons Degree in English with Drama, have studied Psychology with the Open University, and have completed an Introduction to Counselling. I work with a range of individuals from all backgrounds.

Having come from an arts background I am well suited to working with people who work both within the arts or who are artists themselves. Psychosynthesis is itself a creative model that supports the creative process, sometimes this is through guided visualisations and drawings, other times through writing or meditations dependent on client preference.  I work with a wide range of people and issues that come up and welcome enquiries from everyone.  I am also well equipped and experienced in working with the LGBTQI+ community and have experience of working with neurodiversity.  I do not work with under 18’s at this time

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

The Old Street practise in not accessible for wc users and there is one flight of stairs, however, London Bridge and Angel are both fully accessible
