About me
I offer integrative counselling in central Brighton and online, for people who want to explore what is happening in their lives, how they feel about their experiences, and what might be troubling them, with the aim of making positive changes, whether internal or external.
My approach is client-focused, introspective, empathic, and analytical. Through exploring conscious and unconscious processes, working through feelings and finding connections and patterns, my hope is that you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you, leading to personal development and internal happiness.
I work in weekly 50-minute sessions, ideally at the same day and time each week. You decide how long we work together, whether that’s longer-term work on deep-rooted issues or short-term work on something more immediate.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My training was in Clarkson’s Relationship Model, which integrates humanistic and psychodynamic theory. This allows me to explore the past and how it relates to the present, while also attending to the present moment and the relationship between two people sitting together.
I also have nearly a decade of experience working therapeutically with young people and adults in a therapeutic community. This taught me to sit with discomfort and pain while still being able to think and support others.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly reflect on my practice through supervision and continued learning.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free 15-minute video or phone call to see whether we might be a good fit, and there is no obligation to continue after our first session. Accessible counselling matters to me. Alongside my standard fee, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for people who might not otherwise be able to afford therapy. Please get in touch to ask about availability.
