About me
Hello, and thank you for looking at my profile.
You may be here because something specific is troubling you – perhaps anxiety, low mood, difficulties in relationships, or a significant life change. Equally, you may not be entirely sure why you've started looking for therapy, only that something doesn't feel quite right. You don't need to have everything worked out before we begin.
I am a BACP-accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor working with adults of all ages, couples, and young people from the age of 16. I work in person in Hurstpierpoint and at The Therapy Clinic in Hove, as well as online with both individuals and couples.
My work is grounded by psychodynamic thinking. I pay close attention not only to what you say, but also to what may be harder to put into words. Together, we may begin to notice patterns, recurring difficulties, and ways of relating that have developed over time. Rather than offering advice or promising quick solutions, I aim to create a space where we can become curious about your experience, allowing thoughts and feelings to unfold rather than rushing towards explanations.
There is no fixed agenda for our sessions, and no single way therapy is meant to unfold. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to think with you about whatever feels important. Sometimes that means staying with something difficult or uncertain until it begins to make more sense. Often, change comes not through being given answers, but through discovering a different way of understanding yourself.
Sometimes, through being listened to carefully by another person, we begin to listen to ourselves differently. Rather than rushing towards explanations, I believe that becoming curious about your experience can open up possibilities for change that certainty cannot.
I aim to offer a consistent, thoughtful, and confidential space where difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences can become more understandable over time, whether you are looking for shorter-term work around a particular issue or open-ended therapy.
Alongside my work with individuals, I also see couples, offering a space to think together about patterns within the relationship, communication difficulties, conflict, or a sense of distance that may have developed over time. These sessions are available online or in person in Hove.
Above all, I hope to offer a space in which curiosity can replace certainty – particularly the harsh certainties we sometimes hold about ourselves.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
