About me
Welcome, I’m Martin,
Taking the first step toward counselling shows a powerful desire to understand yourself better. It is completely okay if you don’t have all the answers right now - knowing yourself isn't a final destination, but a continuous journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone.
I am an integrative therapeutic counsellor based in a convenient town-centre location in Central Farnham (GU9), and I also offer flexible online sessions.
How I Work
I provide a safe, private, and entirely non-judgmental space where you can freely explore whatever is troubling you. Because my core training is integrative, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I combine two powerful ways of working to support you:
- Person-Centred Therapy: You are the expert on your own life. I provide deep empathy and unconditional support, giving you the space to process current emotions, fears, and anxieties at your own pace.
- Psychodynamic Therapy: We will gently look at your past experiences and childhood patterns. Often, these hidden influences subconsciously affect our daily lives, coping mechanisms, and relationships today.
Who I Support
I work with children, young people, and adults of all ages. In addition to my private practice, I spend a day each week counselling within a school environment, giving me deep insight into the unique pressures faced by younger generations today.
Our Next Steps
Your sessions are your private space. We will regularly review your progress together to ensure your goals and personal objectives are being met.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I am happy to discounted fees to any clients currently in receipt of benefits or social support. I am also happy to consider reduced rates for single parents.
Further information
I offer a free 20-minute assessment appointment either online or over the telephone, where we have the opportunity to get to know one another, and you can ask any questions about the way I work. This will also be an opportunity for you to give me an idea about what you are seeking from therapy, and we can see if I am the best person to help you with this.
