About me

I’m Marta.

My work is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirmative.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), particularly when things feel overwhelming, confusing, or hard to hold alone.

Often, this can look like overthinking, feeling stuck in patterns in relationships, or finding it difficult to say what you need.

I pay close attention to how identity, culture and lived experience shape the way we relate to ourselves and others.

I offer therapy in central London (London Bridge and King’s Cross) and online across the UK and internationally in English, Spanish and Italian.

If something here resonates, you’re very welcome to get in touch. We can arrange an initial session and see how it feels to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a UKCP accredited Gestalt psychotherapist with an MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Gestalt Centre and London Metropolitan University.

I work with individuals and groups, and I also facilitate therapeutic workshops. My background includes experience in mental health charities, NHS forensic services and clinical leadership, as well as supporting male survivors of sexual abuse in a third sector setting.

Alongside my core Gestalt training, I have further training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Family & Systemic Constellations, which inform my wider understanding of trauma, identity, relationships and intergenerational patterns.

I have particular experience supporting clients with trauma, neurodiversity, identity, culture, relationships and intergenerational trauma.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

My approach is grounded in curiosity, dialogue and collaboration. I offer a space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, including the parts that may feel difficult to express, unclear, or not yet fully understood.

I work with each client as a unique individual, adapting the way we work together to your needs, context and way of being, rather than following a fixed or prescriptive approach.

I also place particular importance on the role of neurodiversity, language and culture in shaping how we experience ourselves, our relationships and the world around us. Being able to express yourself in your first language can make a meaningful difference, which is why I offer therapy in English, Spanish and Italian.

If you would like to get a sense of how I think and work, I also write regularly about therapy, identity and healing.
