About me
Life can feel overwhelming at times- whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or navigating big life transitions. It’s completely normal to feel lost or stuck and therapy is a brave step towards understanding and healing. In my practice, I offer a welcoming, confidential, and judgment-free space where we can work together to understand and navigate the challenges in your life. I use an integrative approach, blending various therapeutic methods to suit each person's unique needs. This might involve examining your childhood experiences, exploring dreams, or identifying unconscious patterns to uncover deeper insights into your thoughts and behaviours. When beneficial, I integrate mindfulness practices to help manage difficult emotions and bodywork to release physical tension.
With a background in managing an independent retail business for 25 years, alongside 20 years of yoga and meditation practice, I bring a diverse perspective to therapy. My experience also includes roles in NHS and voluntary sector mental health services, specialising in substance use and addiction both as a Counsellor and Recovery Practitioner.
My own path to psychotherapy began 14 years ago, motivated by personal experiences, including navigating the complexities of lone and step-parenting, neurodiversity, and family substance misuse. These experiences have equipped me with a deep empathy and understanding, enhancing my ability to connect with clients.
I am dedicated to supporting clients through life's challenges, helping them build resilience, gain self-awareness, and form healthier relationships. I believe in everyone's potential for growth and am committed to guiding clients on their personal journeys toward well-being.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
