Are you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted from masking, or struggling to understand your experiences with ADHD, autism, anxiety, or low self-esteem?
I’m Marielle, a BACP-registered therapeutic counsellor in Canterbury and online across the UK, offering a warm, accepting space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. I work with adults from all backgrounds and have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients.
My practice is neuro-affirming, informed by both professional experience and personal insight into navigating a world not designed with neurodivergent minds in mind. Many clients come to therapy feeling misunderstood, exhausted by masking, struggling in relationships, or overwhelmed by daily life.
Together, we can explore your experiences, deepen self-understanding, and find ways of living that feel more authentic, sustainable, and aligned with who you are.
Reaching out for professional help takes courage, and it is natural to feel vulnerable when taking that first step. I am passionate about mental health and feel privileged to offer an inclusive space where you can feel safe and welcome as you are. Together we will determine clear objectives to support you and explore your different therapy options, which can be short-term or open-ended depending on your needs.
It can be helpful, although not absolutely necessary, to have an introduction call to assess your needs, ask any questions you may have and decide together whether we would like to book an initial session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
