About me

My passion lies in empowering individuals to navigate their mental health challenges and achieve meaningful change in their lives. With a strong foundation in psychological principles and a commitment to evidence-based practices, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and motivated to explore your thoughts and behaviours. I tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet your specific needs and goals. By fostering a collaborative relationship, I encourage open communication and active participation, empowering you to take an active role in your healing journey.

In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate way to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better. I also offer a person-centred approach if this is more suitable to your needs and goals.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation to discuss your needs and for you to have the opportunity to see if you would like me as your therapist. Being able to talk and trust your therapist is important, as this is where real change occurs. I understand that sometimes in life, we need a helping hand to get through things that feel tough.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my diploma in CBT, which allowed me to become a school counsellor. I have experience working with adults and young people who have experienced depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, panic attacks and more. I hope to create a safe space for personal growth and healing. Therapy is so versatile and it is extremely important in finding ways of working that are best for you!

As a school counsellor, I have extensive experience working with young people. I am also passionate about supporting adults in rebuilding their resilience by challenging negative thoughts and behaviours.

I also have an Honours Degree in Psychology.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
