About me
Hi!
Life can be complicated, we all have ups and downs but sometimes the hard moments become a struggle and difficult to ignore. Are you feeling anxious or overwhelmed by difficult emotions, past experiences, relationship issues or life transitions? Counselling can help. I can provide a calm and non-judgemental space to explore and make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
How I work
As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a supportive and empathic space for you to feel comfortable to express yourself and gain a deeper self-awareness. Successful therapy is built on a strong collaborative relationship. Together, we can identify challenges, gain insight and work towards an improved sense of well-being.
There are times in our lives when we may feel stuck - you may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma or other challenges - I will work with you to identify your goals. Together, we can help you gain some understanding, acceptance and perspective to help you move forwards.
I have a special interest in working with women feeling the pressure of spinning multiple plates while grasping at not losing their own identity. You may be supporting both children and parents, facing relationship issues or carrying trauma that you've kept to yourself.
I also support young adults who are learning to navigate life after leaving home, whether to go away to study or beginning an independent life.
I have experience with many issues and struggles - however, we don't need to be in distress to benefit from counselling. You may "not feel yourself", or need someone independent to really listen to what's going on for you right now - without judgement.
I also work with the NHS Youth Counselling Service, for young people aged 12-24 who are struggling with issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety, ADHD, depression, identity, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
I welcome you to get in touch and have a chat.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free initial 20 minute session so I can listen to your concerns and we can decide, together, if therapy is right for you and if I am the right counsellor.
Online sessions are carried out via a secure platform, many clients prefer the accessibility and convenience of being in their homes or other private space for their sessions. Online working benefits those who are often travelling or are away at University and those that find it difficult to leave their homes.
I offer short-term work for those wanting to focus on a particular issue and long-term work where we can develop a more in-depth exploration into specific areas of your life or patterns.
