About me
Perhaps you are anxious or depressed, lost in well-known but flawed patterns of relationships and behaviours, or feel overwhelmed from a recent event. I'm a psychoanalytically oriented psychodynamic psychotherapist. I offer an empathetic, consistent and confidential space where difficult and unprocessed feelings and thoughts can be explored and put to rest. My approach provides an opportunity to spontaneously express whatever might be on your mind. Working collaboratively and at your own pace, we can explore unconscious forces that might be impacting your feelings, thoughts, behaviours and relationships, so you feel lighter and freer in your daily life.
Instead of providing advice and opinion, my approach focuses on the relationship that emerges between us and thinking together about what could be learnt from it. This includes observing repetitive patterns, spontaneous associations and dreams, and also considering the potential impact of external psycho-social and cultural factors. My approach is probably more suited to those looking to understand themselves and others on a deeper level. The process might be gradual but the change is profound and more permanent.
I offer open-ended in-person sessions on Kings Road, Chelsea. I also try to accommodate those who are unable to attend in person by offering online sessions. If you would like to get in touch, please contact me by email and we can then arrange a free introductory call and discuss further steps.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MSc (Distinction) in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of London along with an HE Diploma in Counselling. I also have additional training in trauma, grief and attachment.
My work experience includes various public and community-based services across London operating in partnership with NHS. I currently work privately from my consulting room on Kings Road in Chelsea. I have extensive experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of emotional challenges. I welcome clients from all diverse groups.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
