About me
I am an experienced HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Supervising Director at The Good Mental Health Company.
I offer a non-judgemental and safe space for difficulties to be brought based on a relational and psychodynamic approach. I work with clients with a range of difficulties, diagnoses, and from diverse backgrounds, and welcome clients who may have been struggling with difficulties for some time. I have a keen interest in the creative process and work to help clients tap into their own creativity as a way of gaining insight and healing.
Creativity, whether through a creative medium or simply through talking, allows for the expression of troubling issues. If you’d like to explore painting, drawing and/or sculpting, we can together consider the thoughts, feelings and meaning they bring up and include them as part of our work together. Creativity in conversation and art also allows for the reframing of difficulties by imaginatively and thoughtfully reframing them; this can have powerful healing effects, particularly if you feel depressed, anxious or “stuck”.
In the initial consultation, we will discuss and agree on the duration of our work together, and it is an opportunity to find out more about the way in which I work and to ask any questions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Art Psychotherapy and continue to develop my skills and knowledge through ongoing continued professional development. I have over 15 years experience within organisations and the NHS of setting up and running groups as well as offering individual psychotherapy. I have set up and facilitated peer supervision groups and supervised colleagues, trainee and qualified psychotherapists.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
