About me
I am an experienced HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Supervising Director at The Good Mental Health Company.
I offer a non-judgmental and safe space where clients can explore their difficulties through a relational and psychodynamic approach. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity challenges, relational issues, and life transitions. I am particularly attuned to how the body and nervous system hold experience, and how the creative process can aid in regulation, grounding, and expression.
With a deep interest in the creative process, I help clients tap into their own creativity as a means of insight and healing. Creativity — whether through art or conversation — provides a unique space to express and reframe difficult emotions and experiences. If you choose to explore painting, drawing, or sculpting, we will work together to reflect on the thoughts, feelings, and memories these materials bring up, incorporating them into our therapeutic work. This creative process can offer transformative change, especially for those feeling stuck, anxious, or depressed.
Alongside my clinical training, I am committed to ongoing supervision and reflective practice. I work ethically and sensitively, honoring each person’s cultural background, identity, and lived experience. My aim is to provide a compassionate, thoughtful space where creativity fosters growth, integration, and self-understanding.
Rooted in psychodynamic theory, my approach explores emotional and relational patterns in the context of early life experiences, unconscious drives, and the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where you can explore the underlying sources of your struggles, facilitating lasting change and personal growth.
I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation and it is an opportunity to find out more about the way in which I work and to ask any questions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Art Psychotherapy and am committed to continuously enhancing my skills and expertise through ongoing professional development. With over 20 years of experience in both organisational settings and private practice, I have established and led art psychotherapy groups while also providing individual psychotherapy. In addition to my clinical work, I have set up and facilitated peer supervision groups and provided supervision to colleagues, as well as both trainee and qualified psychotherapists.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
