About me
I am a qualified psychotherapist, grief and loss counsellor and trauma-informed practitioner, with experience supporting both younger and older adults.
I have a special interest in relationships across all areas of life, including family, work, friendships and the relationship you have with yourself. How we relate to others as well as to ourselves is often what is behind how we navigate life’s ups and downs and why painful patterns keep repeating themselves. I regularly work with young adults, professionals and parents, supporting each to build awareness and lasting change.
My areas of focus are:
• anxiety and depression
• low self esteem and self-worth
• grief and loss,
• relationship difficulties,
• significant life transitions or experiences, including trauma;
experiences that often overlap and inform one another.
I bring a specialist focus on working with the effects of trauma: early adverse experiences and childhood trauma (which can surface at any point in life) as well as sexual and emotional abuse.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It is about understanding you and helping you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions so they do not run your life.
Taking the first step can feel difficult but sharing your concerns and feelings with someone who will not judge you can bring huge relief. If you would like to ask a question or arrange an initial conversation, please get in touch. I offer a free 20-minute consultation, giving you space to decide whether working together feels right
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling and have worked within the NHS and various therapeutic and mental health charities.
I support both younger and older adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement (including childhood loss) and the lasting impact of trauma or emotional neglect. I also work with those navigating life transitions and periods of uncertainty, whether adjusting to loss, rebuilding a sense of self, starting a new career, or managing professional pressures and workplace challenges.
I bring genuine warmth and careful, honest reflection and work collaboratively with you to explore patterns, build resilience, deepen self-awareness in order to find .

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I spent many years in a demanding corporate environment, before qualifying as a therapist. I understand psychological pressures across professional and personal contexts. With additional training in trauma and solution-focused therapy, this allows me to offer both thoughtful and practical support.
