About me
I'm Maneet, a fully qualified, BACP-registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist based in Ealing, West London, working with clients both online and in person.
I work relationally - meaning that alongside talking about what's difficult, we pay attention to how those patterns show up between us in the room, which is often where real understanding and change happen. I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress and burnout, depression, relationship difficulties, work and career pressures, grief and loss, trauma, identity, and cultural adjustment. I see adult clients from all backgrounds and walks of life, and also work in English, Swedish, Hindi, and Punjabi.
Alongside private practice, I have years of experience across community, university, and corporate settings, and I currently lead the training and consultancy department at Mind, supporting workplace mental health.
Sessions are 50 minutes. I offer both focused, short-term work and longer-term, open-ended therapy, depending on what suits you. Before committing to anything, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone call to talk through what's bringing you to therapy and get a sense of whether we'd be a good fit. If we go ahead, your first full session is an assessment - a space for me to understand your history and what you're hoping for, and for you to get a feel for how I work.
Above all, I aim to offer a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental space to build real understanding of yourself, at a collaborative, unhurried pace.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Organisational Dynamics, and I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, registered and accredited with the BACP.
Over the years, I've worked across a range of therapeutic settings - including community outreach, academic institutions, the corporate sector, and private practice - which has given me a broad understanding of the different circumstances people bring into the therapy room.
Alongside my clinical work, I am the Training and Consultancy Partner at Mind in West Central London, where I deliver psycho-educational training to organisations, supporting their staff's mental health in the workplace. I am also an MHFA England Instructor.
I regularly engage in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development, in line with BACP's ethical framework.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
