About me

Welcome!

My name is Magda. I am an art therapist and an accredited member of Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).

If you are a parent or carer looking at how to best support your child's emotional well-being and to develop a better understanding of their behaviours and needs, I am here to help.

For the last 15 years I have worked with children, young people and their families in a variety of settings, including education, the voluntary sector and private practice. I have run individual sessions for children and young people, consultations for parents and carers and if relevant, joint sessions for family members.

Issues that I help my young clients and their families with include life transitions, anxiety, confidence, self-esteem, peer relations, bullying, anger, parental separation, loss/bereavement and trauma.

The heart of my art therapy practice is to develop authentic and meaningful relations with my young clients. I offer a safe and confidential environment where children and young people can feel enabled to express what matters most to them. Combining art-making and play can often help children say much more than they can express in words alone. This is why I practice art therapy.

My approach is non-judgmental and focused on the individual child's needs. Through building mutual trust, my goal is to help my clients become more resilient and better able to cope and feel better about themselves. In consultations with their parents and carers I aim to give support and guidance to bring about long-lasting results.

At present, I am available for face-to-face consultations from the Awareness Centre at Clapham in South London on Saturday mornings. I also offer online consultations during the week. I speak both fluent English and Polish.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your child's needs or to book an initial consultation where we can discuss a possibility of art therapy for your child in more detail.
