About me
At the heart of my approach is the offer of a therapeutic relationship, a unique opportunity to use real time interactions to gain insights, help make sense of your world and experience change.
Being human brings a range of challenges throughout life. Together, we can explore the challenges you face, whether they arise from within, or from life events. This is based on entering your world together, to see things as you see them and feel them as you feel them. As we do this, it can be helpful to connect with feelings in your body as well as thoughts, images, and different parts of yourself. Working in partnership to set the pace and direction, we can move between past and present, whilst looking to the future.
Before training as an Integrative Counsellor, I worked as a Mental Health Nurse in an NHS Women’s acute Mental Health ward, and then Mother and Baby Unit. This gave me a good working knowledge and experience of medical and psychosocial approaches in mental health. Moving into Counselling has allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills into a more relational and individually tailored way of working.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
