About me
Lynne Holmes - Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor
Location: Ealing, West London (W5) & Online (Zoom)
Accreditations: UKCP, AHPP (Recognised by PSA) [1]
Hello and Welcome. I hope that I can help you with the difficulties that have brought you here today. As an integrative psychotherapist, I combine a pragmatic, grounded approach to immediate problem-solving with a deeper exploration of the underlying emotional dynamics at play. Sometimes, a few sessions of counselling are enough to gain clarity and relief. Sometimes, the luxury of having your own safe space to explore longer-term issues in your own time becomes part of your pattern of self-care for a while. I am happy to facilitate either.
I work with individuals (adults only), couples and fellow professionals.
I work with trainees, counsellors and psychotherapists, both as a therapist and as a supervisor. I am keen to support the next generation of therapists and counsellors. I also offer reflective supervision to family lawyers and those involved in caring professions.
Areas of focus include:
- Relationship and communication difficulties
- Anxiety, stress, and professional burnout

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
UKAHPP is a national accrediting organisation for all those who apply the theories of Humanistic Psychology in their work. The UKAHPP is an independent member organisation of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the UK Register of Counsellors. The Association is made up of a number of different membership classes e.g. Associate Members, Affiliate Members, Full Members, each with different requirements for entry. Full Members may use the initials 'MAHPP' after their names, and have undergone a rigorous accreditation procedure relevant to their discipline. All members of the Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners must commit to acceptance of the UKAHPP Code of Ethical Principles, the UKAHPP Code of Practice, the UKAHPP Ethical Review Procedure and the UKAHPP Complaints Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
