About me

Life can be challenging at times and we don't always get what we want. We all move through periods where we feel lost, lonely, overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by low mood, or frustrated and angry at the world around us. These feelings can be exhausting, and they can make even simple things feel harder than they should.

Do you pretend you’re fine and push your feelings down, too afraid to say what’s really bothering you?  Are you noticing yourself pulling away, or feeling more disconnected from the people around you?

If this sounds like you I would love to talk to you - in our confidential sessions together, we can unravel jumbled thoughts and feelings, helping you to feel lighter, clearer, and more at ease in your mind.

Counselling isn’t about having the “right words” or being at breaking point. It’s simply a space where you can talk things through at your own pace. A place to say what’s on your mind without worrying about upsetting family or friends, or having to put on a brave face.

Life naturally has its ups and downs, and times of change can leave us feeling unsettled or unsure. Whether something has shifted suddenly or built up over time, talking things through can help to bring a sense of clarity and steadiness during uncertain moments.

I understand how hard it is to ask for help, and even harder to decide what counsellor is right for you. To see if I am right for you I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation this will give you a chance to get a feel for me and to ask any questions you may have about the service I offer.

I'm a person-centred counsellor who believes in listening and walking alongside you, at your pace. I'm a trained bereavement counsellor and have experience supporting people who've been affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Whether you're dealing with grief, trauma, or life simply feels too heavy right now, I offer a safe, compassionate, confidential space where you can be heard without judgment.

I offer sessions either face to face, zoom or telephone which ever way you feel would work best for you.

If you’re ready to start on this journey, I’m here to help you along the way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
