About me

Hello and welcome, I am qualified counsellor/psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP as well as being an Accredited Member of the NCS.  I am also a hypnotherapist, life coach and offer meditation and mindfulness as a part of my work.  I am currently undertaking a MSc in Contemporary Psychosexual Therapy and work with clients with sexual dysfunction and issues. Currently I offer these sessions at a reduced rate whilst I am completing my MSc, which finishes in the summer of 2025..

I offer a range of different services in a safe and friendly environment. Here you can take the time that you need to focus on yourself, your needs, what you want to explore, in a gentle safe way and at a pace that is comfortable to you.

I offer a complimentary Discovery Session, during which we find out what you are wanting to change or make sense of in your life.

We will work together in deciding the way forward and honouring your uniqueness and individuality, by adopting a person centered approach. For some people, there will be the need to look at your past history and resolve those issues before you are able to move forward with your life. And for others, you will only want to work on a solution without going back into the past. Each of these options has its own merits, what is important is that you are in control of the pace and direction that we go in. I think one of the most important parts of the work that we do together is that you feel comfortable and safe, and able to go to your deepest parts without fear of being judged.

I am experienced in working with domestic abuse, bereavement, trauma, long term chronic health conditions, neurodiversity, gender and sexual issues, and sexual dysfunction, including compulsive sexual behaviours (sex/porn addiction).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My therapy room is located on the first floor and is accessible via lift. Access into the building is via a very gently slope with a level threshold.
