Hi, I'm Lyn.
I've been working in counselling/psychotherapy for 22 years. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I hold additional qualifications in life-coaching and NLP. I work eclectically, which means that my professional practice can be personalised to suit each client's needs. You can be assured of a safe, empathic, confidential and professional space in which you can explore issues that you may find difficult to face alone. If you are experiencing issues that are holding you back, either personally or professionally, then we can work together to help you move forward.
Reaching out, picking up the phone is the first step towards improving any situation that you are finding difficult. It has been my honour to work with brave individuals over the years who took that first step. I am here if you decide to contact me and I am happy to support you in identifying your options moving forward.
After our initial phone contact we will set up a face-to-face session which will help you to identify your way forward. This initial consultation is free. At this point you can decide whether you would like to work with me and if so, we will arrange your next session.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

In addition to providing a safe space for you to be heard, many of my clients have found creativity to be a useful vehicle when exploring difficult feelings and memories. I have used art therapy and creativity successfully in the areas of increased self-knowledge and awareness, BPD management, PTSD, anxiety, depression, rape and historic child sexual abuse.
