About me

I am a queer and neurodivergent Art Psychotherapist offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space for people to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Art psychotherapy offers an opportunity to explore experiences through creative expression, particularly when finding the words to communicate difficult thoughts and feelings can feel challenging. There is no need to have any artistic experience or consider yourself creative. We might use art materials, images and other creative approaches alongside conversation to explore whatever feels important to you.

My training is in psychodynamic art psychotherapy, that, alongside my clinical experience, means I am comfortable offering both talking therapy and art psychotherapy. I will adapt our work to suit your individual needs, preferences and ways of communicating.

I work with people experiencing a range of challenges, including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, significant life transitions, experiences of abuse and trauma, and navigating a new diagnosis or understanding of neurodivergence. I have a particular interest in how our experiences shape our sense of identity, relationships and self-worth.

My approach is collaborative and self-directed. I believe you are the expert in your own experiences, and I aim to support you in developing a greater understanding of yourself, while maintaining a sense of autonomy and choice throughout the therapeutic process. Together, we can explore difficult feelings, emotions and patterns of behaviour, finding new ways of understanding, processing and coping with what you may be experiencing.

I have extensive experience working with both adults and children across a range of therapeutic settings, with particular expertise in developmental trauma and neurodiversity across the lifespan. As a queer and neurodivergent practitioner, I value the importance of creating an inclusive space where different identities, experiences and ways of being are welcomed and respected.

Above all, I hope to offer a space where you can feel safe enough to be yourself, explore what matters to you and move towards a greater sense of self-understanding, acceptance and possibility.
