About me

If you're used to coping on your own, but lately feel mentally stretched, constantly switched on, or struggling to properly switch off - you're not alone.

My name is Luke, and I offer a calm, confidential online counselling for adults across the UK - particularly men who are used to managing things themselves, but are finding it's starting to feel heavier than it used to.

You might still be functioning - going to work, showing up, getting through the day - but underneath, things feel different. Your mind might feel anxious, low, irritable, stuck, or mentally exhausted, without fully knowing why.

At a certain point, coping on your own can stop feeling like strength, and start feeling like strain.

Counselling offers a space to slow things down, talk things through properly, and begin to understand what's been building up beneath the surface.

What to expect from counselling

This isn't about being analysed, fixed, or pushed to change.

It's about having a steady, contained space where you can speak openly, at your own pace, and begin to make sense of what's going on in your mind and your life.

There's no pressure to explain things perfectly or arrive with answers. We work with enough structure to feel grounded and safe, and enough space for you to explore what matters most.

Over time, many people notice:

  • their thoughts feel less tangled
  • their emotions feel more manageable
  • their sense of self feels steadier

Understanding often comes before change. When things begin to make sense, they usually start to feel lighter too.

Who I work with

I work with adults (18+) across the UK, many of whom have spent a long time managing things internally before reaching out.

I also have particular experience working with neurodivergent adults, including ADHD and autism. My approach is neurodivergence-affirming - supporting you to understand your experience without judgment.

I welcome clients from the LGBTQ+ community and offer a fully inclusive, affirming practice.

How sessions work

Sessions are guided by what feels most important for you to bring.

There is no expectation to talk about anything before you're ready.

My role is to listen carefully, reflect clearly, and help you make sense of what's going on - not to tell you what to do or who to be.

I work exclusively online and by telephone, offering therapy to clients across the UK.

Next steps

If you'd like to speak before booking, I offer a short, no-obligation telephone call.

This gives you the chance to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide whether it feels like the right fit for you.

You're welcome to get in touch via Counselling Directory. If you'd like to arrange a call, feel free to include your availability and preferred contact details.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
