About me

Do you feel as if your life is not your own? Or like it is performative? Do you meet the world with a persona? Are you stuck in the same daily routine or patterns of behaviour and anxiety, that make you feel like you're not truly being yourself?

My name is Luisa, and I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist based in South East London. I work both in-person and online (via Google Meet) to help clients understand and navigate their personal experiences, with a view to becoming more aligned with their true nature, and transforming how they want to live in the world.

My training has been in Integrative, Transpersonal Psychotherapy, which means while having studied many of the dominant theories across Psychoanalytic (Freud, Klein) Humanistic (Rogers, Gestalt, TA, CBT) and Existential (Spinelli, Van Deurzen) therapeutic approaches, my learning has also incorporated a Transpersonal perspective.

I aim to identify attachment styles, patterns of behaviour and defences, to make these parts of oneself conscious. From this point, there is the potential to work creatively and unearth the deeper aspects of the unconscious.

Ultimately, I hope to serve clients in finding their true selves, while learning to feel more connected to, and contented with their intrinsic qualities.

I am an individual member of BACP and am UKCP accredited. I work with adults - both individuals and couples.

I work online and in-person at the Greenwich Practice Rooms and Caya Therapy in Peckham.

To make contact, you can book an introduction video call with me through my website (www.luisasavoia.com). This is a 15-minute free call where we can discuss your reasons for coming to therapy, and I can answer any questions regarding how I work, and the process of starting. You can also email or WhatsApp if preferred, and I will reply as soon as possible.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
