About me
Are you suffering with anxiety, low mood, family issues, low self-esteem or facing obstacles that are holding you back from leading a happy and fulfilled life? At times life can be very challenging, leaving you feeling confused, unhappy, unheard, and restricting you from leading the life you want.
Looking into support for yourself is the first step to making a change. Counselling can be this first step, supporting you with regaining a sense of control, and a better, more positive future for you.
As an integrative therapist, I adapt to suit you as the client. I understand the importance of modifying my therapeutic approach to meet your needs. I do not believe that one-size-fits-all when it comes to counselling; everybody is unique and so your counselling journey will take the same approach.
I will support you with exploring and understanding your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviour, in order to encourage a development in self-awareness.
My experience and training as a counsellor has emphasised the importance of providing a safe, non-judgemental, confidential environment to facilitate your counselling journey. I will support you with reflecting on your own journey and planning your future steps.
I have supported clients with a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, low mood, bereavement, home/school difficulties, self-harm, and suicidal ideation to name a few. I have worked with individuals managing Special Educational Needs, such as Autism and ADHD, and am aware of how to adapt my approach to best suit the client. I have carried out both long and short term therapy, discussing this with the client initially and regularly checking in to best meet their needs. Additionally, I have had extensive experience working with children and young people, supporting them with the unique issues they present with at this time of life.
As a fully qualified Counsellor, I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling. I have completed extensive training in areas relating to Counselling and Psychotherapy, and continually engage in professional development to stay updated with the most relevant theories and practices in counselling and psychotherapy. I hold full professional indemnity insurance and an enhanced DBS certificate. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to a strict ethical framework.
I provide both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy depending on your needs, this can be discussed during our initial consultation and assessment. I am currently offering online counselling with the intention of introducing a face-to-face option in the future.
I have had both positive and negative experiences when attending different counselling services as a teenager and young adult. I feel that this offers me a unique perspective and emphasises the importance of knowing that a counsellor is a good fit for you. I am dedicated to offering you a space to be completely yourself, prioritise your needs and encourage the development of a strong counsellor-client relationship.
I look forward to hearing from you :)

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
