About me
People who come to my practice are often navigating change— bereavement, parenting, emotional overwhelm or a breaking point— and feeling anxious, self doubting or unsure who they are now. You may be coping on the outside, whilst questioning what you can and can’t control. I recognise the courage it takes to take this first step. I offer a calm, person-centred space led by you, where we gently explore what’s happening, make sense of patterns and attachments, and support you to reconnect with your sense of self.
If you’re finding things difficult right now, or quietly carrying more than feels manageable, you don’t have to face it alone. In counselling with me, you’re offered a calm, confidential space to be heard, understood and supported at your own pace. If this resonates, you’re welcome to get in touch and see whether working might feel right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
People often come to counselling feeling unsettled by change—bereavement, parenting pressures, relationship difficulties, identity questions, or a point where coping no longer feels possible. You might appear to be managing on the outside, while inside feeling anxious, self‑doubting, overwhelmed, or unsure who you are now.
Working with me offers a calm, steady space where you don’t have to hold everything together. Our work is led by you and moves at your pace. Together, we gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface, make sense of patterns, relationships and attachments, and create space for greater self‑understanding and emotional relief.
Clients often describe gaining clarity, feeling more grounded, and reconnecting with parts of themselves that may have been lost, silenced or pushed aside. Whether you’re navigating grief, living with emotional overwhelm, questioning your identity, or using self‑harm as a way of coping, you’ll be met with care, sensitivity and respect—without judgement.
If you’re carrying more than feels manageable right now, you don’t have to face it alone. Counselling with me offers a confidential, compassionate space to be heard, understood and supported. If this feels like it might be right for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure what to expect or whether your concerns are “big enough” to bring. Many people feel nervous about reaching out, and that’s completely understandable. You’re not expected to have everything worked out before you begin - counselling is a place where uncertainty, questions, and mixed feelings are all welcome.
If you decide to get in touch, we can take things slowly. There’s no pressure to commit straight away, and you’re welcome to ask questions or simply explore whether working together feels right for you. Sometimes, reaching out is simply about giving yourself permission to be supported.
