About me

Thank you for coming to my page. You might feel like you’re holding everything together on the outside, while inside things feel messy, heavy, or hard to make sense of. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, doubting yourself, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift. You may not even have the words yet—just a sense that something isn’t quite right.

I offer a warm, real, and gently supportive space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We can go at your pace, making sense of what’s going on together. My hope is that you begin to feel more like yourself again—steadier, clearer, and less alone in it all.

My approach offers a space for you to explore your experiences at your own pace, within a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. Together, we’ll gently make sense of what’s happening for you now and begin to uncover what might be keeping you feeling stuck, with the aim of opening up the possibility for change.

At the core of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is central to healing. It’s through a genuine, trusting connection that meaningful and lasting change can take place. From our first meeting and throughout our work together, I place great importance on your emotional and physical safety. I’m mindful of the deep and often lasting effects of distressing or traumatic experiences on both body and mind, and I strive to offer a space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported, at a pace that feels right for you.

Clients often ask me what they can expect to take away from therapy. In my experience, one of the most valuable ‘resources’ is a deepening of self-awareness and insight. With that comes the potential for healing, growth, and real personal change. My intention is to support you in developing the understanding and internal resources you need to make lasting and meaningful shifts in your life.

A bit about me. I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist working with individuals. I have worked in a variety of settings, including private mental health services, charitable organisations, as well as the NHS. This broad range of experience has allowed me to support people through a wide spectrum of emotional difficulties. More specifically, I have experience of supporting adults presenting with issues which have included; a general sense that things are 'not right' with you, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, autisim, personality disorders, low mood, grief and bereavement, experiences of emotional, physical and sexual abuse, family difficulties, relationship struggles, low self-worth, loneliness, life changes, parenting challenges, work-related stress, or feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I have also worked with people who have experienced trauma or suicidal thoughts.

I work with individuals on a wide range of issues including relationship problems, post-traumatic difficulties, anxiety and depression. I also have experience of supporting couples, helping them look more closely at the patterns that shape their relationship and the tensions that can grow from them. Together, we explore how they relate to one another, how they navigate conflict, and how they find their way back to each other after difficulties. Our sessions offer space for both partners to express their feelings and experiences, and to gain insight into the underlying dynamics influencing their connection. The work can be gradual and at times challenging, but trust develops as we create a safe, steady environment where emotions and complexities can be explored openly and honestly.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications

  • MSc in Psychotherapy (Middlesex University) Grade: Distinction
  • Post Graduate Clinical Diploma in Psychotherapy (The Metanoia Institute).
  • BSc Joint Honours Psychology & Sociology, The City University London

I’ve completed over five years of clinical training and supervision at The Metanoia Institute, where I was awarded a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma in Psychotherapy and an MSc in Person-Centred Psychotherapy (accredited by Middlesex University), graduating with distinction.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I studied psychology and sociology at an undergraduate level, and spent several years working in finance and later in strategic roles within the civil service. This experience gave me valuable insight into how demanding work environments can impact both professional and personal wellbeing. Working with people from many different walks of life has broadened my perspective and strengthened my ability to relate to the diverse challenges individuals encounter.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, for individuals, with weekly 50-minute sessions either online or in person from the Greenhouse rooms in Richmond. I usually work with clients on a weekly basis, finding a regular time that works well for both of us.

I also offer a free 20-minute introductory conversation, giving us a chance to meet and see if it feels right for us to work together. There’s no pressure to make any decisions during our initial phone call. I know how important it is to find the right therapist, and it can be helpful to take some time afterwards to reflect. If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we can go ahead and arrange a first session, or you’re very welcome to get back in touch when you’re ready.

In that first 50-minute session, we’ll take some time to explore what’s brought you to therapy in more depth. We can think together about how I might best support you, and whether it feels right for us to continue working together. If you decide not to book further sessions, that’s absolutely fine, there’s no obligation. What matters most is that you feel comfortable, safe, and supported in whatever choice you make.

If you'd like to arrange an introductory call or ask any questions, you're very welcome to get in touch.
