About me
I am a neurodivergent person-centred therapist who works one-on-one with clients over the age of 18 who are neurodivergent or believe they may be and want to explore what that means to them. I have primarily worked with Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and dyslexia.
I also have experience in supporting people who have experienced some kind of domestic abuse, either partner-based or family-based. As people of all ages and genders can encounter this I have worked with a broad range of adult clients with other presenting issues as well.
With covering both of these areas I've worked with people who want to explore: trauma, PTSD, cPTSD, anxiety, depression, burnout, autistic burnout, panic attacks, OCD, dyslexia, agoraphobia, insomnia, disordered eating, stress, self harm, and more.
Reaching out can be very difficult, but my goal is to work to your pace in a gentle, empathic way. As I work in a humanistic style I aim to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your own feelings and issues, supporting you in discovering your own solutions in ways that will actually work for you. I work to work in a way that is LGBTQ+ positive, accessible, promoting health-at-every-size, and a stim-friendly environment.
I work with clients online in video, audio, and message-only formats, with apps like Signal, WhatsApp, and Teams, or over the phone. I am not able to offer in-person sessions. The best way to contact me is through my site or by email.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am fully qualified and a registered member of the BACP, which requires me to keep up-to-date with training to remain a part of the organisation.
I began practising in 2016 when I started working with Waves Counselling Project, a charity that specialises in counselling domestic abuse survivors. I started my private practice in 2020.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
