About me

You’ve learned to listen to everyone else — but not yourself. You keep the peace for others and quietly lose yourself in the process. You overthink conversations, feel guilty saying no, and often end up doing more than you have the energy for.

If this feels familiar, you’re not broken or weak. I offer online counselling for people who put others first and are struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, loneliness, family and relationship difficulties, the emotional impact of past experiences, and the patterns that keep them stuck in self-doubt and self-abandonment. Together we’ll gently explore where these patterns began, how they’ve been trying to protect you, and what keeps them in place today, so you can begin to step out of fear, guilt and obligation, and build more self-trust, stronger boundaries, and a clearer connection to your own voice.

Rather than seeing these patterns as something that's 'wrong' with you, we'll become curious about how they developed and the role they've played in helping you cope. From there, we can begin to create new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more authentic and sustainable.

I specialise in supporting people who’ve spent years putting themselves last, whether through people-pleasing, low self-worth, or difficult relationship patterns.  My work combines compassion, curiosity and thoughtful exploration, helping you reconnect with your voice, strengthen your boundaries, and build emotional resilience.

Therapy isn’t just about talking. Where it feels helpful, we may also work with body awareness, imagery, creative or experiential exercises to help access insights that talking alone doesn't always reach.

I believe deeply in each person’s natural ability to heal, grow, and create meaningful change.  If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch for a free introductory chat.

Who I Work With / Issues I Help With
I have particular experience supporting people with:

  • People-pleasing and self-abandonment
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Low self-esteem and low confidence
  • Overthinking, guilt, and difficulty setting boundaries
  • Relationship patterns, trust and connection
  • Family and relationship difficulties
  • The lasting emotional impact of difficult life experiences
  • Emotional regulation and resilience

Together, we work on:

  • Rebuilding self-trust and confidence
  • Setting healthier boundaries
  • Strengthening emotional resilience
  • Healing from difficult relationship experiences
  • Cultivating more authentic, fulfilling relationships

My Approach
My approach is integrative, with my foundation in Person Centred Therapy and the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Every person is different, so I tailor our work to your individual needs, always working collaboratively and at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Alongside our conversations, where appropriate I may draw on body awareness, mindfulness, visualisation, creative or experiential exercises to help deepen understanding and support lasting change.

At the heart of my work is the belief that lasting change comes not from becoming someone different, but from reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been lost, silenced or overlooked over time.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
