About me
I work from a yurt in my garden in Stroud. It’s a place set apart from the rest of life, where you can explore whatever brings you to therapy.
I’m interested in the here and now – what’s actually happening in the room between us, what your experience is in the present moment, and how this links to both the past and your current life outside. This approach aims to help you get back in touch with your life, with your own sense of aliveness in all its broad richness and vibrancy.
I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where this might be possible. A conversation between two people, where you are recognised and listened to, where the unexpected can emerge and be worked with, where you can find room to breathe.
Psychodynamic therapy is rooted in a recognition of the unconscious and the role it comes to play in our everyday lives. Gentle exploration can start to allow more conscious choice into a person’s life. Therapy is a space and time for all parts of the self to be welcomed and understood. It’s an opportunity for something new to unfold, to be co-created.
My hope for my clients is that they find whatever they as individuals might need, so they can move on to a new situation.
Please get in contact if this way of working appeals.
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated in 2018 from Oxford University, with a Master in Psychodynamic Practice, and began clinical work in 2015.
I began my private practice in 2018, working with both adults and adolescents.
I have worked in a number of different settings, including a low cost community based organisation and a university counselling service. I have also managed and run a counselling service for a Drama college with students aged 16 - 24.
I have experience of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, from a global community, and with diverse reasons for seeking therapy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
