About me
Hello, my name is Lucia.
You are here because you are going through some form of psychological distress and are looking for some guidance to overcome this, or perhaps you just need a space to talk about whatever is going on in your life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, romantic or family relationships, depression, neurodiversity etc, I hope that I can be the one to walk this journey with you.
I offer a warm and safe environment to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. I believe your human experience to be unique and commit to providing an empathetic and non-judgmental space, inviting you to explore the many aspects of yourself and what is happening in your life with softness and compassion. Together, we can sit with all that you bring to our sessions, and create a space for you to ponder, to express, to be in the not knowing and to perhaps find new ways to create meaningful and lasting change.
I work with clients in an integrative way which basically means I pull together various therapeutic approaches to best meet my clients needs. I also have experience in coaching. If we begin to work together, we will have a discussion about what your hopes are for therapy and how we can work together.
Some of the common issues I work with include relationship issues, anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, family and friendship issues, ADHD, autism, neurodivergence, separation, abortion, spirituality and young people etc.
In my spare time I love to unwind with a book, take the dog for a walk and spend time in nature.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free 15-20 minute phone/video consultation to explore your decision to begin therapy, what you are looking for and how it might be for us to work together. At this stage there is space for you to ask any questions you might have about therapy. The relationship between therapist and client is paramount so there is no commitment to begin therapy until you have had time to process our initial chat and decide whether us working together feels right for you.
In our first session, we will take a deeper dive into what brings you to therapy, and from there our journey begins. Committing to therapy is to commit to yourself. It demonstrates great courage and vulnerability.
