About me
Have you been feeling like you're struggling to cope, but you're not sure why?
Perhaps life has become overwhelming, you're constantly worrying, feeling low, or finding it difficult to manage your emotions. Maybe you have even been putting everyone else's needs before your own, or carrying experiences from the past that are still affecting you today.
If you feel ready to take the first steps towards a happier and healthier you, I am here to help.
I am a person-centred counsellor, and my aim is to offer you a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental space. I will work alongside you to explore what you are experiencing and what you need. We will work at your pace, working towards meaningful change.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in education for over ten years. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the challenges that children, young people and families can face. Through this work, I understood the importance of patience, empathy, safeguarding, professional boundaries, and creating an environment where people feel safe enough to be themselves.
Alongside my private practise, I work with specialist sexual trauma services, giving me the experience to work with trauma in the counselling room. I also provide counselling support for neurodivergent clients through a charity in Northamptonshire. This gives me experience of working with people with a wide range of experiences and needs.
I work with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, neurodiversity, and feelings of being overwhelmed or struggling to cope.
You don't have to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. Sometimes simply having a safe space to talk can be the beginning of understanding what you need.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation, giving us the opportunity to have an informal conversation about what you are looking for, answer any questions you may have, and importantly, see whether you feel I might be the right counsellor for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
