About me
I provide an empathic, warm and non-judgemental space for you to explore any issues you are dealing with. These may be historical, present or perhaps future concerns that are impacting on you. You may be feeling that life is overwhelming at the moment and may need some help to work through what you are experiencing. It takes courage to seek out that help and take the first steps towards change. I am here to support you on that journey and offer you a place where you can feel heard and understood. So, please feel free to reach out to me.
My private practice is Bluebird Counselling. Bluebirds symbolise hope, renewal and growth, which are at the heart of my therapeutic approach. I provide sessions from a comfortable therapy space in Hoylake, Wirral. I also offer remote sessions, via online or telephone. I work from an Integrative Model of therapy, with an emphasis on the Person-Centred approach which places you and your needs at the heart of the therapy. I will work alongside you helping you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs and behaviour. I will support you in discovering and developing your strengths to enable personal growth. The sessions are tailored to best meet your unique and specific needs, incorporating CBT techniques if and when required. I also offer creative approaches to therapy to help explore difficult emotions.
FREE Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call to discuss your needs and for you to decide if therapeutic work is right for you. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and get a sense of how we might work together in a way that feels comfortable for you. If you are happy to move forwards then we can book our first session.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
