About me

Maybe you're tired of saying, “I’m fine,” when actually, you don’t feel fine at all.

Sometimes it’s hard to explain what’s wrong - you just know you don’t quite feel like yourself anymore.

Perhaps you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, overthinking everything or finding it difficult to switch off. You might look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside, you just don’t feel like yourself anymore.

You may be adjusting to an ADHD diagnosis, experiencing anxiety, workplace stress or burnout, coping with loss, or navigating the emotional challenges of infertility, motherhood or menopause. Or perhaps you can’t quite explain what’s wrong. You simply know that something needs to change.

If you’re usually the one who keeps going, holds everything together and looks after everyone else, asking for support might not come easily. But you don’t have to wait until you’re at breaking point.

And you don’t need to arrive at counselling knowing what to say or where to begin, we can start exactly where you are.

I offer warm, down-to-earth counselling for adults, both online and face-to-face. My aim is to create a relaxed, non-judgmental space where you can take a breath, be yourself and talk honestly about what’s really going on for you.

I won’t tell you what you should do. Instead, I’ll work alongside you, at your pace, helping you make sense of how you’re feeling, understand yourself more deeply and explore what may be keeping you stuck.

Together, we can work towards helping you feel more confident, more in control and more like yourself again.

And for once, you don’t have to be the one holding everything together.

This is your space. Somewhere you don’t have to pretend you’re okay, look after anyone else or have all the answers. You can simply be you.

You might be coping on the outside but struggling on the inside. With me, you don't have to keep pretending everything is okay.

Choosing a counsellor is personal and finding someone you feel comfortable talking to really matters. If you’ve read this and thought “she gets it,” I’d be really pleased to hear from you.

We can start with an initial chat. You can ask me anything you’d like to know, get a feel for whether we might work well together, and take it from there. No pressure, just a conversation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
