About me

I offer a calm, non judgemental supportive space for clients who feel overwhelmed and ready for change. I can help you find clarity, ease emotional burdens, and understand yourself more deeply. Together we explore patterns, build healthier coping tools, and gently work through past or present challenges. My aim is to help you feel grounded, more confident, and connected to your own needs, so you no longer face everything alone but move forward with greater resilience, self-trust and a sense of well-being.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor with a BACP membership and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I work from a trauma-informed approach and have experience volunteering within a Rape Crisis agency, supporting survivors with sensitivity and care. I am committed to ongoing professional development and maintain up-to-date training and CPD. I hold Level 2 Safeguarding training and am DBS checked, ensuring safe and ethical practice at all times.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I strive to keep my fees as fair and accessible as possible, while also ensuring I can offer a safe, professional, and high-quality service. Behind each session are ongoing costs such as continued professional development and training, professional insurance, and room hire, all of which are essential to maintaining ethical standards and providing you with the best possible care. I’m mindful of balancing these responsibilities with compassion and transparency, and my fees reflect a genuine effort to honour both the value of the work we do together and the realities of running a sustainable practice.

Further information

I work primarily as a person-centred counsellor, offering a warm, non-judgemental and empathic space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and in supporting clients to find their own understanding and direction. Where appropriate, I integrate CBT techniques into my practice to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping strategies and work towards practical change, always tailoring the approach to meet each individual’s needs.
