About me
Welcome to Being Human Therapy.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties or simply feeling stuck. Whatever has brought you here, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences safely and at your own pace.
My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps us understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and physical responses. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop a deeper understanding of your experiences and work towards meaningful, lasting change.
I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to the individual. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work alongside you to understand your unique experiences, strengths and goals, adapting therapy to meet your needs.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, perfectionism, grief, relationship challenges and life transitions. Whether you're facing a specific issue or simply feel that something isn't quite right, therapy can provide the space to gain clarity, build resilience and move forward with greater confidence.
My aim is not only to help you feel better in the moment but to leave therapy with a deeper understanding of yourself and practical skills that continue to support your wellbeing long after our work together has ended.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My qualifications include:
- Level 11 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- MSc in Psychology
- BSc (Hons) in Behavioural Science
Alongside my academic training, I have experience supporting adults with a range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, grief, relationship difficulties, perfectionism and life transitions. I work with each client as an individual, tailoring therapy to their unique needs, goals and circumstances.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years working in organisational change and behavioural change, supporting people through periods of uncertainty, transition and personal development. This experience has strengthened my understanding of how people respond to change and complements my therapeutic work.
As a registered BACP member, I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and am committed to maintaining high professional standards. I engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure my knowledge and practice remain current and evidence based.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer both in-person therapy in Glasgow and online sessions via secure video, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your lifestyle and preferences.
If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, or whether I'm the right therapist, I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone or video call. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions, discuss what you're looking for, and decide whether we'd be a good fit before committing to therapy.
I appreciate that finding the right therapist is an important decision. My aim is to provide a supportive, respectful and collaborative environment where you feel comfortable to explore whatever has brought you to therapy. If you decide to get in touch, I'll do my best to respond promptly and guide you through the next steps.
