About me

Counselling for Anxiety, Stress, Grief & Low Confidence.

“overwhelmed adults carrying emotional load across life areas”

🌿 About me
Life can feel overwhelming when stress builds across work, home, or relationships, and you may find yourself just about getting through each day.

You might be experiencing ongoing anxiety, low confidence, or a sense of feeling emotionally stuck. For some people, this is also accompanied by grief or loss that feels difficult to carry alongside everything else.

I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. My aim is to help you feel more grounded, more confident in yourself, and better able to cope with what life is bringing.

Many of the people I work with are used to managing a lot, but have reached a point where things feel harder to hold on their own.

🌱 How I can help
People often come to me when life feels overwhelming and difficult to manage, particularly when several things are happening at once.

This may include anxiety or persistent worry, stress linked to work, home, or relationships, grief or significant life changes, or a loss of confidence and self-esteem.

Together, we’ll gently explore what is happening for you and how it is affecting the way you see yourself, your relationships, and your day-to-day life.

We’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on what feels most important right now.

🤝 How I work
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Person-Centered Therapy. This means I focus on creating a safe and trusting relationship where you feel heard, accepted, and understood without judgement.

From this foundation, we can begin to explore patterns in thoughts, feelings, and relationships, and how past or current experiences may be affecting how you feel today.

The work is guided by you, and we go at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

🧭 What to expect
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you are already feeling overwhelmed.

In the first few sessions, we will take time to explore what has brought you to counselling and what feels most difficult right now. We will also begin to gently identify what you would like to feel different or change in your life.

From there, we’ll work together at a steady and supportive pace, checking in regularly so you can notice any shifts, changes, or progress along the way.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin—often, it’s enough to simply feel that things are difficult and you want some support with that right now.

📞 Next steps
I offer a free 15-minute consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and see if working together feels like the right fit for you.

You are very welcome to get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

🌿 Practice information
I offer counselling sessions online or by telephone, allowing you to access support in a way that feels comfortable and convenient for you. This means you can attend sessions from your own home or another private space where you feel safe and able to talk freely.

Sessions are arranged at a regular weekly time wherever possible, as consistency can be an important part of the therapeutic process.

🤝 My way of working
My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy. This means the focus is on providing a safe, respectful space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement.

Rather than directing the sessions, I work alongside you at your pace. Together, we explore what is going on for you and what feels most important to focus on, whether that relates to anxiety, stress, grief, low confidence, or feeling overwhelmed.

🧭 What sessions are like
Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or know exactly what to say—many people find that we begin by simply talking about what feels most present for them at that time.

Over time, sessions often help you:

make sense of difficult feelings or experiences
notice patterns in thoughts and emotions
feel more grounded and clearer about yourself and your relationships

🌱 Accessibility and adjustments
If you have any concerns about accessing counselling or need any adjustments to make sessions more comfortable, please feel free to discuss this with me. I aim to make the process as accessible and supportive as possible.
