About me
Taking the decision to talk to a Counsellor can be a big step.
Therapy may have been something you've been considering for a long time before you take the step to get in touch. Counselling can help you start your journey towards healing and making real changes in your life.
Hello, I'm Lisa and I am a qualified Counsellor with a level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I became a Counsellor as I've always been interested in listening to people and training to be a Counsellor felt like a natural extension of that interest in people.
I have a passion for helping people and believe that counselling can help people through life’s often difficult journey, as well as trying a natural approach to mental health, and whilst I appreciate that medication has its place in mental health provision, it's not the only option available.
I help clients to explore all of their options so they make the right choice for them.
I can guide you through your journey, offering a confidential and empathic space in which to express yourself and talk through anything that is worrying or concerning you so you can start to explore your options. I believe that we all have the ability to grow and heal, regardless of what we have experienced in life.
I work in an integrative, person-centred way, which means that the client is at the centre of everything I do, and my sessions reflect this approach. I begin each session with asking you what's happened for you this week and we go from there.
I usually book clients about two weeks in advance and the first step is to get in touch if you'd like to book a free 15-minute telephone or video consultation to find out more about you and understand your needs and expectations of counselling. I am currently offering short or long term counselling and I can also offer counselling every other week.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment so you can be completely at ease. Contact me via email or telephone to confidentially outline any issues or services you’d like to discuss. All enquiries will be responded to within 24hrs.
