About me
Hello there,
I provide a warm secure, non judgemental safe space for you to explore, regain and strengthen your emotional wellbeing and to explore challenges and difficulties life has brought you.
I provide both short and long time therapy depending on what suits your need
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, which means I work with many different styles and techniques depending on your need and what works for you as I see each person as an individual and my aim is to help you in the way that is right for you. Working empathetically, with all sessions being client led, enables you to work at your own pace to explore your own feelings, without feeling judged or pressurised.
I offer remote online counselling and in person in my therapy room at my home address.
I provide a free 15 minute phone or online session for you to see if working with me is something you would like to pursue. Alternatively, I offer a free 30 minute face to face session in my therapy room at home.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling which has trained me in many different theories, skills and experiences.
I have many years of working in different settings helping people. I have worked for various charities providing counselling for people with a varied presentation of life difficulties, including adults, young people and children. I currently work in schools for a charity counselling children and young people from the age 7-18 three days a week which I find very rewarding, this is along side my own private practice working with adults and young people
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
