About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience, working full time in private practice. I support adults who look like they’re coping on the outside but feel overwhelmed, exhausted or not quite themselves on the inside. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, capable and successful, yet privately struggling with anxiety, burnout, emotional overload, sleep problems or a constant sense of pressure they can’t switch off.
I specialise in working with trauma, anxiety, chronic stress and burnout, including experiences that don’t always look like “obvious trauma” but still have a powerful impact on how you think, feel and function. This often shows up as overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, difficulty resting, physical stress symptoms, or a sense of always being on edge.
I use EMDR as my primary therapeutic approach as an effective, evidence-based method that works with how your brain, body and emotions respond under stress and pressure. It helps the nervous system integrate experiences that are still triggering stress responses, so patterns of overdrive or survival mode can settle. This reduces anxiety, emotional reactivity and physical tension in the present, helping you think more clearly, feel steadier and respond rather than react.
Alongside therapy, I also offerEMDR-informed coaching for professionals, leaders and high-performing individuals who want psychologically grounded support without the jargon or superficiality of traditional coaching. This work sits in the space between therapy and executive coaching and is particularly helpful if you want to move forward with ambition, clarity and confidence, without running yourself into the ground.
My approach is warm, steady and grounded. I aim to help you understand what your system has been responding to, why your symptoms make sense, and how things can shift so life feels calmer, more connected and more sustainable again.
I work online with clients across the UK and overseas.
Areas I commonly work with include:
anxiety and panic, burnout and overwhelm, trauma and complex trauma, high-functioning anxiety, work-related stress, sleep problems, health anxiety, emotional exhaustion, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationship patterns, leadership pressure and performance challenges.
