About me
Sometimes life feels heavy, confusing, or simply too much to carry alone. Whether you’re feeling anxious, low, stuck, or just not quite yourself, counselling can offer you the space and support to begin making sense of things. I’m Lindsay, a BACP registered counsellor based in Oxfordshire. I work with adults (18+) across the UK via online sessions on Zoom, offering a warm, confidential, and entirely non-judgmental space at your own pace.
At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: you are the expert on your own life. My role isn’t to analyse you or give advice, but to empower you to explore your own answers. Sessions are led by you and there are no pre-planned agendas, worksheets or 'homework.'
Reaching out for therapy can be daunting, and you may very well have questions or worries I haven't addressed here. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with anything else you would like to ask about counselling.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I adhere to their ethical guidelines. I also receive regular clinical supervision and I partake in continuing professional development to ensure I am continuing to grow and work to a high standard in my practice.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I charge a reduced fee of £30 for an initial consultation. This consultation is a full 50-minute session in which we can explore what brings you to counselling, and to find out if we would be a good fit to work together. I will also ask you some questions about your current situation. You can ask me any questions you have about the counselling process, and I will also share how I work as a counsellor.
If we decide to work together following the initial consultation, the cost of a weekly 50-minute therapy session is £55.
Further information
You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, sad or lonely. You might be experiencing struggles in your relationships, facing challenges in life right now, or trying to make sense of past experiences. Perhaps you are noticing difficulties with self-esteem, anxiety, or people-pleasing tendencies, or maybe you are navigating a shift in identity or life stage.
At times, it can be hard to cope or know how to move forward. Counselling offers a space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace, with the support of an empathetic and non-judgemental listener. It is a confidential and safe environment where your experiences are heard and valued.
