About me

I am a very experienced therapist specialising in anxiety, distress, burnout, trauma and I teach mindfulness. I work with young people, adults and elders. I have a lot of experience supporting those with childhood dysfunction that may be upsetting their adult relationships and mental health. This is everyone.

I am a specialist in Functional Neurological Disorder - FND - supporting repair & management of symptoms supporting dozens of FND patients since 2019.  Some are now back at work and fully functional.

I am trained in EMDR, Somatic Psychotherapy, Trauma Counselling, NLP & Craniosacral Therapy, and Suicide Support. I have a Masters in Psychotherapy & Counselling and a Degree in Psychology. I also am a certified Nutritional Therapist as the link between digestion and mental health is now proven.

Taking that first step to make contact  takes courage and I am here to kindly support and encourage you to be brave.

My therapy space is calming, very beautiful and is set in a landscaped garden in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

I am fully trained for online sessions as well and have found over the past 15years that online works as well as in studio. For some it feels safer.

My aim is to provide you with a calm, safe  and comfortable space so you feel able to share and explore your emotional issues.  Safety in therapy is paramount.

Your mental health creates your physical health so you deserve to be in the best overall health to handle whatever life sends your way. We will get you well despite your past therapy experiences.

WhatsApp, SMS or email me for a free 20minute online meeting to ask questions and check your level of comfort with my support.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
