About me
Hello, If you’ve found your way here, you’re likely searching for a safe, supportive space to explore your challenges and create meaningful change.
I’m Leyla, a warm and compassionate therapist who deeply believes in the transformative power of being truly heard.
My approach is straightforward yet deeply empathetic, grounded in the belief that resilience and personal growth are built when we face life’s challenges head-on. I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you uncover your inner strength and guiding you toward growth and healing.
Therapy is not about avoiding discomfort but about finding the courage to embrace it and develop the tools to move through it. I don’t advocate for forced positivity or quick fixes. Instead, I focus on helping you work through life’s trials in a way that fosters genuine, lasting change.
If you’re ready to embrace your authentic self, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and meaningful progress.
Couples Therapy
Relationships are some of the most rewarding yet challenging aspects of our lives. Whether you’re feeling stuck, struggling to communicate effectively, or navigating a specific conflict, couples therapy offers a safe space to explore and rebuild your connection.
My approach to couples therapy is rooted in a person-centred philosophy combined with techniques from interpersonal mediation. This ensures that both partners feel heard, valued, and understood, even when discussing the most difficult issues. Every relationship is unique, so I tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs and goals as a couple.
What You Can Expect
An Initial Assessment
In our first session, we’ll explore the dynamics of your relationship, your shared history, and the challenges you’re currently facing. This will help us identify your goals for therapy, whether it’s improving communication, resolving recurring conflicts, or addressing feelings of disconnection.
Improving Communication
Many relationship challenges stem from misunderstandings or unmet needs. Together, we’ll work on identifying your communication styles, uncovering patterns that may no longer serve you, and practising ways to express yourselves in a clearer and more compassionate manner.
Understanding Patterns and Triggers
Relationships often get stuck in recurring cycles of conflict. We’ll work on recognising these patterns, understanding what triggers them, and finding ways to break free from them. This might include exploring individual behaviours, past experiences, or unmet expectations that influence how you relate to each other.
Rebuilding Trust and Intimacy
If trust has been broken or the relationship feels distant, we’ll focus on rebuilding that sense of safety and connection. This process may involve addressing past hurts, learning to forgive, and fostering a deeper emotional bond.
Developing Shared Goals and Future Plans
Whether you’re rebuilding your relationship or deciding what the future holds, therapy provides a space to align your goals and create a path forward. This may include learning to compromise, setting boundaries, or rediscovering joy and shared purpose in your partnership.
A Safe, Neutral Space
Couples therapy is not about taking sides or assigning blame. Instead, it’s about creating a neutral, supportive environment where both partners feel empowered to speak openly and honestly. My role is to guide you through this process with empathy and respect, helping you navigate the complexities of your relationship with clarity and compassion.
Whether you’re seeking to strengthen your relationship, overcome a specific challenge, or decide on your next steps as a couple, I’m here to support you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
