About me
Hello, I'm Lesley and welcome to my profile. Reaching out for support may sometimes be difficult but it could be the first step to making the changes you want in your life. I am an experienced Psychotherapist and I work with people who are experiencing a range of life issues including childhood difficulties, trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship/marriage difficulties, identity issues, difficulties with food and body image, work related problems, bereavement and loss.
I am warm and friendly and offer a safe, gentle and confidential space where you can begin to explore some of the difficulties you may be experiencing. We move at a pace that is comfortable with you and we review how things are going on a regular basis.
The main theory I use in my work is Transactional Analysis or TA for short.
TA is a great therapy for understanding our personality, our interactions with others and our patterns of behaviour to facilitate growth and change.
Getting Started
Making the first contact can be difficult. Please feel free to email me with any questions or queries you may have and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
To get started, I always meet the person for an initial assessment session. This gives me the opportunity to see if I can support you effectively and could be of help to you. More importantly, for you, the initial session can give you the “feel” of what therapy would be like and to see if you feel comfortable working with me. From here, you may decide to go ahead and we then agree to work together or you may want further time to think about it.
Individual Therapy - £60 for a one hour session
I work with individuals on a one to one basis over a short or long term period of time. It is often very difficult to predict how long therapy will last but we will agree on an initial amount of sessions and then we will review this on a regular basis. The relationship between the therapist and the client is very important.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
