About me

Sometimes life can begin to feel overwhelming, confusing or simply too heavy to manage alone.

Are you feeling anxious, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or struggling with trauma or the impact of a past experience?

At times like this it can help to have a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what you are going through.

I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, based in Stratford-Upon-Avon. I have over 30 years’ experience working in psychology and mental health across NHS services, academia and now private practice.

I offer a calm, compassionate and confidential environment where we can explore the difficulties you are facing and work together towards change. Therapy provides an opportunity for you to slow things down a bit, understand what has contributed to your difficulties and any patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is thoughtful, personal and grounded in evidence-based psychological therapies.

I specialise in trauma and draw upon various approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring therapy to each individual person and their circumstances.

Who I work with:

Adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, trauma, stress, staff well-being and burnout, bereavement, self-esteem difficulties and major life transitions.

Why work with a Clinical Psychologist?

Clinical Psychologists are highly trained mental health professionals who complete a doctoral-level qualification alongside many years of supervised clinical training within NHS services. This training focuses on understanding complex emotional difficulties and using evidence-based psychological therapies to support meaningful and lasting change.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I bring together clinical experience, psychological research and a compassionate understanding of how life experiences shape our thoughts, emotions and relationships. My aim is not simply to help you manage difficulties, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and build lasting psychological change.

Experience and Professional Background

My career has included senior roles within the NHS and many years teaching and supervising trainee clinical psychologists on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at Coventry University. Alongside my clinical work, I have also spent many years delivering mental health training to organisations as an instructor with Mental Health First Aid England, helping to increase understanding and reduce stigma around mental health.
